Mean Green Hemp Machine
Now, I've been making smoothies for years, but I've never felt like my smoothies reached the level of blogger-status.
That is, until NOW! (Aka until I decided I needed to take a couple of pictures BEFORE I began my consumption of this delicious treat, and not once it looked like a half-empty cup of green poo).
For 1 smoothie:
1 frozen banana
2 pitted medjool dates
2 tbsp hemp protein
1 handful spinach
1 tsp cacao nibs
1/2 tbsp almond butter (you can use peanut butter, or my fav, Barney Almond Butter with vanilla and espresso!)
1/4 cup cashew milk (can sub for almond or your fav nondairy)
1/4 cup coconut yogurt
1/2 tsp agave
For topping:
1 tbsp thick shredded coconut
1/4 c buckwheat groats
cinnamon to taste
....anything you want!
I enjoy this baby with a spoon, but if you're on the go, maybe try a straw and blend your toppings! Or try one of those slurpie straw-spoons. Can you buy those? ;)
