Creating Our Living Room Gallery Wall

So, we’ve been in our home for about nine months now and we are JUST NOW finding art that fits our space. Having a few pieces from our last home, we tried to find spots for them but felt overwhelmed with the amount of wall space in this new home, especially in our living room with eleven foot ceilings. We went back and forth but settled on creating a gallery wall with some gorgeous prints and frames from Desenio.

We decided to do the gallery wall behind the TV to help disguise it a bit, something I’ve always been interested in trying. This room is a very cool bright white color and I purposefully chose prints with warmer tones to soften up the space. I feel like it definitely made it homier and less garage-conversion like it was before.

We mixed a variety of different textures, sizes, styles, shapes, and even recently added a mounted planter to the gallery wall. I absolutely LOVE how it turned out and the quality of the Desenio prints is outstanding. We also ordered the natural wood frames with plexiglass so the prints look clean and elegant.

After seeing the prints in person, we did decide the large Stockholm Gallery Collection print needed her own wall, so we mounted a shelf and paired her with a tiny potted cactus clipping. Initially, I wanted her for our room but couldn’t deny how stunning the print looked up on the blue wall!

It’s no secret that the past month has been pretty hectic, and we’re spending more time in our home than ever. Collin and I are deeply affected by our environment and having a space that feels like us means so much.
