SPRING!
can't believe I'm seeing sooo much green these days! Green grass, flowers, everything.
I don't know about you, but when it gets too dark and rainy, I can't find my happy place. I don't know what I would do without yoga, meditation, and HIIT (high-intensity interval training)! With yoga and meditation, I can quiet my mind and just relax. With HIIT, it's quite the opposite---I'm able to get my heart-rate up and the endorphin rush makes me feel so powerful.
I've also found myself connecting more with nature these days, finally finding my niche in our new town of Nashville to break from the industrial neighborhood we live in *hears trains as I type this*.
We have this incredible park called Shelby Bottoms where I've been running and walking for a few hours at a time. I like to unplug my headphones and just walk with my watch, soaking up the sounds of nature. It really is such an amazing escape, even if it's just a few times a week.
With my favorite weather, comes my favorite kind of wardrobe!
Yes, of course, I love to layer in the winter and the fall, but it's important to shed those layers and (safely) expose your skin to some Vitamin D! Vitamin D deficiency is nothing to mess with, and is so common, especially in young women.
